Summer is coming and that means abundant opportunities for outdoor picnics. Whether you are taking a loved one on a romantic dinner in the park or hosting a picnic for the kids in the backyard… you’re going to need supplies.
We’ve comprised a basic list to help you get started:
First, you’re going to need cups and plates. There are tons of options to choose from including eco-friendly paper, plastic and bamboo. It’s important to make sure the dishes are lightweight and stackable to make packing a breeze.
Don’t forget eating utensils! You can use disposable but using reusable adds a nice sophisticated and thoughtful touch.
While you’re at it don’t forget serving utensils. You don’t want to get all the way to your destination to find out you have nothing to serve your meal with.
Make sure to pack a cutting knife for sandwiches, cheese, fruit, veggies, etc.
You’ll also need a small cutting board which can be used for cutting or as a platter to share from.
Small things like corkscrews, napkins and wet wipes can all help make your picnic run smoothly from start to finish.
Finally, don’t forget your food! Make sure to keep the menu light, healthy, and made from foods that won’t spoil quickly without refrigeration. A good mix of meats, cheeses, fruit and wine is sure to please any palate.
