Have you ever wanted to do something really bad, but for some reason, you keep putting it off? Why is it that the work we consider most important becomes the hardest thing for us to do? Sitting down on your desk to write that book, finishing a project, starting a new painting, etc. I like to remind myself that I need to fight the resistance. The resistance is strong, it has many ways to get to you. It can appear out of nowhere, in the form of a ache, in a phone call or email, in a package in the mail. It’s anything you can use as an excuse not do to the work. Everyday I ask myself, what is the work I need to do today? Once I have that clear, I tell myself, you have to fight the resistance. I am stronger than the resistance, I will win. I know it sounds silly, but it works for me. It makes me aware that no phone call, email, ache or excuse will stop me from doing the work. What about you? Are you fighting the resistance?
Thanks for reading.
