Some things in life are considered essential, food, shelter, peace, water… but how does one define essential? According to the book I am currently listening to on Audible, Essentialism, it means, the things we can’t/ shouldn’t or don’t want to cut out. What in your life is worth keeping instead of something else? Hard question to answer. When it comes to material things I find it a lot easier to know what I truly want, but when it comes to goals, ideas, projects and plans, I want them all. My ideas flow out of me like a river, if I’m lucky to catch them all on paper I feel victorious already. But how do I pick from the list, which is essential? Creating my books always comes number one, but I have ideas for lots of books as well. I wish I didn’t have to worry about making a living, where creating the things I want was all I had to do. But after working for my clients, caring for our home and doing all the self care things, the time left to create is pretty small. And that is if nothing comes to take away that little precious time, things like events, appointments, sickness, etc. I feel like I must hold on to those precious hours like gold, but before I know it, time has slipped through my fingers once again. I have this idea for a children’s book that I would love to get started on. But since I’m already invested in my novel, I can’t juggle both things right now. So I must be patient and finish one project at a time. So many people wasting their time away, so many of us, wishing we had one more hour.
Thanks for reading.
