Staying consistent is one of the hardest things to do, specially over a long period of time. Why is it so hard to do something every day? Until something becomes a habit we fight the task with so many excuses that it’s a miracle that anything does turn into a habit. Is it all a matter of discipline?
If the thing we want to do is a good thing why do we resist it? Shouldn’t it be easy to do something that is good? Do we have so much time in our hands that we waste with creating excuses? Are we just self sabotaging ourselves all day long? Why? For the sake of complaining? Is it laziness the problem here? And why do we care? Because it’s with daily consistent action over a long period of time that great things are accomplished. Doing something once in a while doesn’t make you who you are. Your habits make you who you are.
The next time you put something off try to remember this: every time you choose to do something right instead of something easy you get closer to your goals.
