You Get What You Pay For

One thing to remember when redoing your home décor is that you will get what you pay for. If you buy cheap materials you will end up having to replace materials sooner. The cheaper materials are more likely to wear faster and break easier. So, when replacing your home décor make sure you are realizing the quality of the items you are getting.

Inaccurate Measurements

Another thing to remember when redoing your home décor is to ensure your measurements are right. If your measurements are off, even by a half inch, it can make the décor look messy and incomplete. Having measurements that are off can cause issues with your redoing. So, when measuring, measure and measure again to ensure your measurements are correct and accurate.

Skipping the Prep Work

If you are trying to save time and money then you defiantly won't want to skip the prep work. Prep work is designed to ensure accuracy and that everything will be perfect in the end. If you do not do prep work you will have issues later down the road and may actually have to spend more money to correct a mistake that could have been done during the prep work.

Gutting Everything

One mistake that a lot of people make when redoing their home décor is gutting everything first before they have a well thought out plan. They start ripping off a wallpaper and next thing you know the whole room is gutted with no plan. So, if you plan on completely redoing a room, have a well thought out plan before you start remodeling.

Ignoring Lighting

One of the main problems people make is ignoring the lighting in their home. The lighting that has already been established in the home can make colors appear different and make the whole décor look different. You will want to look at your lighting to ensure your color choice will be great with the lighting.
