The work of William Morris have inspired me since I was very young. It inspired me in college when I had to create textile patterns or design clothes. It inspired me when creating costumes as a costume designer. And it inspires me now that I'm an illustrator.
More than his finished pieces, I love his sketches and unfinished paintings. There is something so special about an artists journal, studies and scraps of paper. (I should definitely take more pics of my work before they are fully finished).
I mentioned in my February's Favorites video that I love using brown and blue ink for my botanical illustrations, here is an example of why.
