Another favorite book to share with you guys. It's quite a title, ready? So Good They Can't Ignore You: Why Skills Trump Passion in the Quest for Work You Love by Cal Newport.
After reading Cal Newport second best seller Deep Work, I was intrigued to see if his first book would do for me as much as the second did. And let me tell you, it did.
He shows you why getting better at your craft is more important than anything else. More important than networking, social media... And I agree. I'm not talking about the fastest path to get you rich. But the path to get you known in your profession as the highest level artist/ craftsman/ whatever.
The book goes beyond the idea of work hard and get better, it really explains why. Cal also gives lots of stories of successful people he met and interviewed.
If you want to achieve the next level, the recognition and the followers this book is for you.
I would love to know your book recommendations.
