Every week I try to watch a documentary. With so many great movies and tv shows out there I find that documentaries get easily forgotten. Making a specific day in my schedule to watch them has helped with that. This week I watched the Gerhard Richter documentary. It was pretty incredible to see his methods and how he views his own work. I was very intrigued by his opinions on making this documentary, how he felt being filmed as he painted. His work couldn't be more different that the art I usually like. I'm not a fan of abstracts in general but he does have some photorealistic work. I do find the abstracts beautiful but I am way more attracted to figurative realistic work. Here are some of his pieces.
