I finally got my hands on Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. And just like all the other Harry Potter books I read as fast as I could. Before I started reading I reminded myself that this one would be different. Much shorter. After all, this is just a play. But when I was getting close to the last pages this sadness hit me and I knew it was going to be over too soon. The book was such a treat, specially after being a fan of the series for so many years. Once the 7th book came out I never expected to read anything new again about Harry. There is a lot of room in this latest story for many more books and even movies. I know J.K. Rolling doesn't plan to continue on but there is room for sure. We get to know an older Harry and it's pretty great. Mostly because many of us grew up with Harry. I started reading the novels since the 1st book came out around 1998, I was only 10 years old and so was Harry. As I grew up, Harry did too. And now reading about him as an adult when I'm adult too is so much fun. I feel like I could relate to the books so much more because of that. I know that this new book will not do enough for the fans, but it's for sure a special treat.
