My schedule for the past 10 years have been really crazy to ever be able to have a routine of any sort. Moving, traveling, commuting two hours to school, then working on locations, you get the idea.
Some people may think I was lucky, that routines are boring, and for a while I thought so too.
But as the years passed the urge to get more organized grew. My sleep have been so messed up and I dreamed with a day where I could fix that.
I have been a subscriber to My Morning Routine for a while and every time I read I got this tiny bit of jealousy of people who could have a routine.
I tried many times to have one but failed. How could I have a routine if I have to work some days at night, live in hotels for months, etc. All I wanted was to wake up and make my own breakfast, meditate, do some yoga, was that too much to ask?
Well, since I decided to change my career a bit and work from home things got a lot easier. My life is getting more and more organized and I'm finally able to shape up a routine that fits me.
So here is a sum of my morning:
I'm trying to wake up everyday at 6am. I love the quiet early morning so it's very important to me to wake up early. After taking Achilles outside and feeding him, I usually sip a cup of tea while my body slowly wakes up. Sometimes I read, or listen to a podcast or watch an inspiring video.
Once I feel more awake, I change into my workout clothes, brush my teeth, wash my face and do some meditation. Them I'm out the door to exercise. My workout varies between running, yoga and weight lifting.
Then I come home, take Achilles out again and eat breakfast. I like to scroll through Instagram and read blogs while I eat.
Followed by a shower and get ready for the day. The plan is to be at my desk at 10am.
